Climate control and radio random resetting issue.

Hey guys! today coming home from work, my climate control and radio kept resetting itself for no apparent reason. However the car is not shutting down and is running just fine. i was figuring that perhaps it is fuse, but when i checked the owners manual, the climate control and radio are on separate fuses. could it be a bad/loose connection somewhere? if anyone came across this issue before, please let me know. thanks

My alternator burned out once without my knowing it, and with just my battery powering the electrical system, it eventually got so low that the stereo and A/C would cut off every time I hit the brake. The engine ran well enough for a few more miles, before there wasn't enough power left to run the ignition system.

Are you able to start the car up again?

yes, the car starts up just fine. usually if the there is an issue w/ the charging system. i will get the idiot light on the instrument cluster, or the check charging system message.

Unfortunately for me, there was no idiot light, and my message center didn't signal me until after my stereo and A/C hiccups occured.

If you figure out what's going on, please post what it is; I'm curious.

i think i may have resolved the issue, but i am going to keep an eye on it! i found that one of my battery terminals was pretty loose. also, the cap for my system died, took a voltage meter to it, confirmed dead! so i just replaced that today and so far so good. like i said, i will keep an eye on it. hopefully this problem does not come back. if it does, the only thing i can think of will be the alternator! thanks guys.
