Going Up

Howdy,

Well I like the ride hieght of my LS till I bottom it out rather violently on stuff. The first time it was a surprise and I was going to fast over a steep driveway but the next time it was semi-sideways over a speedbump and it dragged again! I'm used to my classics dragging due to big pipes hanging too low but I can't deal with this. I also don't like the gap between the wheel and the fender/quarter. Granted I have the base model 16" wheels but I doubt the tires got any bigger for different levels but I could be wrong.
What is the cheapest way to reprogram a speedo for taller tires? I want to get bigger wheels and keep the sidewall about the same on the tires as far as hieghth, so less sidewall but not a whole lot aspect ration wise. No lowering springs for me, I want to get the undercarriage up about 1" so unless I gain 2" of rise on the tires, I don't want to drop it.

Thanks,

Do you offroad or what?

No... I don't, but I don't like my daily driver constantly hitting things when I go over them. Those speed bumps posed no problem to my Regal GS going at 15mph straight on and its got a pretty squishy suspension. The LS bottomed out at 5mph cattycorner. I don't find it acceptable.
