has anyone had this problem? I have and 02 lse and dont even like to lean on the console cuz it squeaks and drives me nuts!!! and sugs?

mine squeaked because it was rubbing against the pasenger seat whenever i leaned on it. i just stuck a pen in between the seat and the console, problem solved and i have a pen whenever i need it

yep, mine does it, too. When I ride alone, it's generally not a problem becaue the radio masks the problem... But when I have passengers, it drives me batty! I'll have to check to see if it's rubbing against the seat.

Yea mine does too, I think mine is associated with the rear A/C vents though.
Also, the E-Brake leather boot in my 02 is missing a clip or something so it doesn't stay down. Anybody have a fix for this other than gluing it?

never thought of the a/c vents. Nothing like a $40k when new with a noisy console!

the consol in 00-02 LS is straight up garbage. I put some thin foam in between the upper and lower parts, but it's the material itselt that squeaks and makes all kinds of noises.
This is one of the "advantages" of Ford and most other American made cars.
