Radio buzzing

i tried to search for the problem that im having, but i have no luck. i have a 00 ls with the alpine system. today, after looking for a new truck, there was a radio buzzing in the system. the harder i pressed the gas, the louder the buzz. i turned off the radio, and it stopped. i thought i read that i will be needing a new amp, or to tighten the ground cable. any help will be appreciated

ive had the same problem. ive got the tape deck in mine and use a car kit to hook up my mp3 player. ive noticed this same thing and it drives me crazy. and like you said, this buzzing gets louder as the rpm's go up.

I'm no audio guru, but I've always understood that issue to be a grounding problem. perhaps your ground worked itself loose? There's probably other things it could be too, but it's beyond what I know...

Click the "dolby double D" on button number "4" when playing a tape, it will reduce the sound significantly, but not completely.

thats kinda what im thinking as well, because there was a rattling, and now that the buzzing started, the rattling stopped

thanks dave. i hadnt driven the car in about a week, but finally today when i did, i pressed the dolby button and that seemed to help a lot.
