The following is an announcement from the Mid-Atlantic MN12 group of the TCCoA:

The Joel Bender Memorial Nationals - Summer Blast 6 will be held August 18-19th, 2007 in Martinsburg WV and Hagerstown, Maryland.

Cost will be $10.00 per person to help cover the cost of food, trophies, & other essentials.

Saturday will be the car show and picnic held at the previous location at Lambert Park, Woodbury Avenue, Martinsburg WV. We will meet up at a designated area then be police escorted into town to the park. We will be heading to the park at 10:00 AM. Car show judging will be from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. We will have mostly independent Judges and there will be the following show classes:

Lincoln Class (All) (2 Trophies)
Thunderbird/Cougar Class (All - Except SC's) (3 Trophies)
Thunderbird/Cougar Class (SC's Only) (3 Trophies)

Depending on turnout, other classes may be added later.

We also plan to choose a "Best of Show", "Best Engine compartment", and, "Best Stereo competition". (3 Trophies)

Sunday will be the Drag Race day at Mason Dixon Dragway! We will once again have our own Cougar/Thunderbird class at Mason Dixon. There will also be a car show that day sponsored by the track since that is the ALL Ford Event. Contact www.masondixondragway.com for more information.

Gates open at 8:00 am, cost is approximately $30 to compete. There will be trophies and cash awarded the winners and runner-ups! It is a dial-in bracket racing competition, not heads up. Usually we get 2-3 initial passes before eliminations begin.

I will be posting Hotel information and contacts as soon as I get further information.

As everyone knows, we put on a good show and have a great time during this event every year. We look forward to seeing everyone, and certainly new faces are welcome. This is the largest all MN12 Event on the East Coast.

Hope to see everyone there.
