Buried 1957 Plymouth in Tulsa Oklahoma

Did people really think this car would look like new still after being buried for 50 yrs.??!! It would have held up better in someones garage!

Its all there though. A solid zero mile car that is totally restorable. You would be freaked out how solid it is under all that mold.

Last I read, the "bomb proof" time capsule they stored the car in leaked, leaving the car submerged for years.

Damn sucks.

What was the point in this?

Shame it wasnt a 58 fury, it could have restored itself!

Damn shame it would have been good to see it looking like it was back in the day.

I went down and saw this car the other day. It was actually a belvedere. It looks way worse in person than it does in those pictures. The car was supposed to be a time capsule. The person that guessed the closest to Tulsa population in 2007 would win the car. The vault wasn't supposed to leak it was a surprise when they lifted the lid and the car was sitting fender high in water. Boyd Coddington was here for the unveiling. He said the car is completely unrestorable. Its a shame it would've been such a nice car.
