Got a new battery - how long will it last?

Well, the other day I bought a new battery after my Eldo wouldn't start after standing around from 2-3 weeks while I was away. This has happened several times before in the past so I figured it could use a new battery.

The battery that was in there when I bought the car at 60 k miles a year ago was a Titanium, so I guess this was not the original battery.

How long / how many miles can one expect a battery to last approximately?

That would depend on how many months the new bat is rated for also your Eldo should have gone into storage mode so the batt does not get drained

I just bought a new battery when the one I bought at Wal-Mart in November 2004 fell apart--the positive post where the cable is bolted on fell off. From what I understand this can happen from time-to-time. No warning sign. The battery was warranted for 5 years. I brought it back to Wal-Mart and they were very nice about honoring the warranty. The replacement battery is an NASCAR Extreme which is warranted for 9 years.

thats why they call them never-start instead of everstart,go interstate the best with the best warranty, you will pay alittle more but the long run you will be happy with,.that must of been a delco they are famous for that, try to get that warrantied in nine years, good luck.that must a napa brand, yukie,,and dont buy a sealed top battery, they still need water,i think you will need a mtp-78 for yr ride .

I only use Motorcraft in all my Fords and Lincolns (well both 65 T-Birds have reproduction Autolite batteries).

I replace them every 5 years, just so I never have to worry about them. Pretty cheap from Ford maybe 50-60 bucks.
