1995 Cadillac Seville SLS radio rewire?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Irishmario

Heya guys, i have a 95 Seville SLS and I am having a hard time with getting an aftermarket deck into the car. Apparently all the car stereo places around here dont have a aftermarket deck dash kit and i cannot find one online... the only one that is available is for a console shift only and it will not work with a column shift (which i have)... So here i am with a new aftermarket deck and no ability to install it because there is no dash kit.. sooo my options are, pay a car stereo install company 150 bucks to make one or make it myself...

Not only all that, I have to rewire the whole system because Cadillac decided to put a remote radio receiver in the trunk that controls all the speakers.. one signal from the radio to the receiver and all the speakers split from there.. so basically i have to send 20 feet of speaker wire to the trunk and rewire it all to the door and rear speakers.. however that is just a rant and i can do that just fine..

The problem i am having is just getting the damn deck in.. i dont want to pay some teenager at a stereo shop 150 bucks to do a half ass job of creating a dash kit that in the long run will look like .. and i dont think i have the expertice to do it all myself...

is this a rant? i dunno.. maybe someone can help me out.. relieve me of my burdens maybe there is a trick of the trade i dont know about these damn things.. whatever the case.. if anyone has any ideas, i would love to hear them

thanks
Mario
