3rd brake LED, pics...

Yes, another LED thread...

My 3rd brake light bulb was replaced some time back (long before I owned the car) with a 3157 bulb. It got too hot and melted the red lens which then stuck to the bulb

. So when it burned out last week I just said screw it and ordered a red LED to pop in there instead of ordering a new 3rd brake light housing.

It finally came in today. I think it looks pretty good...

I had to repaint the inside of the reflector, all the chrome paint had faded pretty bad and some of it was actually burnt because of the heat for the bulb. So I picked up some "chrome" spray paint

... looks better than it did at least.

edit: dont pay attention to all the pollen on my car!!!!

that looks really nice, i thought it'd just be a red dot but guess you took care of that. looks like it worked out nice, payed off well

Doesn't look bad, maybe would look better after you tint the windows a little. I think light tint would look good.

Looks like a freakin cyclops, do the rest ( other taillights) it looks very awkward otherwise it "wont " look bad.
