Cadillac-named after the French explorer who founded Detroit, Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac

Lincoln (whose radiator cap was topped by a grayhound) - named after president Abraham Lincoln

Both companies started by Henry M Leland.

So this site is a Henry Leland fan site! We should do something special to remember this automotive pioneer, an award? A cryptic sticker? Any ideas?

I thought I heard that somewhere else too.
How about this for an idea:

Two Legacies: One Man.
American Leland

Maybe as a T-shirt logo or a bumper sticker or even a slogan.
It would definitely raise some eyebrows, even amongst the Auto Intellegensia.
My other idea is to have a website "in-holiday" on his birthday commmerating the creator of these two premiere marques.
You know, maybe have a segment and call it:"Tales from the Wonderful World of Leland" As to where we would post stories and anecdotes involving Lincolns or Cadillacs. That would be pretty cool. Oh, well, that's my $.02 anyways.
