Ok so I took someones advice here and went to the hobby shop for some of the tint. The guy there fliped when I asked about it, he showed me a job he did with a RC car. This guy appreciated his work let me tell yah, he said he hates the stuff, he said he just did something with it the other day and ruined the poor little RC car. Called it sheite, said he preped it the right way and all. So, I went home and looked up an actuall DIY and this is what I found,

http://www.corrado-club.ca/mods/tailtints.html turns out the guy didnt do it right anyway.

Seems good to me, I also found that if you dont like the sanding you may be able to use some spray addhesive from autozone designed just for this, but the idiots dont sell the tint.

Just thought Id share since it becomes a hot topic once in a while.

i've experienced with this before.. if u dont add some sort of clear coat.. it eventually wears off with the sun, rain, and time.. i would recommend using the tint, but that eventually begins to peel off as well

Yes it wil if not preped and clear coated properly. Hopefully this can draw some attention so some people dont just start spraying, it suggests good preping and profesional quality clearcoating in the link.
