someone fixes problem x on their ls, new problem x, x, and x appears.

You suck at equations. If we solve problem X, a new problem X cannot appear, as it would be the old problem X.
Now, problems Y and Z could appear, and those would be new problems. ![]() I like the LS, used to rent them from Budget ( we are a Preferred Vendor and as such we get 25% off), but I'd never own one. Too may problems. |

My 2000 has 139K miles on it. Significantly fewer problems than any of my Sables, and they were good cars. The only thing that was big ticket was transmission solenoid pack. I will need to do the cam cover gaskets, front stabilizer bushings and ball joints in the next few months. The clockspring is no big deal. It took me less than an hour and the part was <$100. Like owlman said, places like this are mainly frequented by people with problems. I would hazard a guess that the posters here represent less than one percent of LS owners.
Get an '02 (virtually all 1st gen issues were addressed) or '04+ with low miles and a warranty good for 7 years or 100K miles (whichever you'll use up first) from Ford and enjoy the LS. |

hey guys,
i'm currently in the market for a new car, and the lincoln ls is one that has caught my eye. i test drove three a couple of few weeks ago, and while it was nice, to be honest... after searching the forum for a few weeks and reading some of the post on here, i seem kind of skeptical in buying one. it seems that most people keep having one problem after another, some even regretting their decision on buying the ls. now i know a car will always have it's ups and downs, but it seems that once someone fixes problem x on their ls, new problem x, x, and x appears. so i dunno, i guess i'm basically asking for other peoples opinion on their decision, flaws and all, current owners or past. thanks! |
