Sport Model?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: FloridaLS

I am a new LS owner. I have had mine for two weeks now. I was just wondering how to tell if is a sport model or what model it is. It has the V8 but I just don't know what the differences are in the models. Anyone know what to look for?

if you have these wheels on there its likely you have a sport.

Yours has the chrome strips on the bumper cover and the non-SST shifter, so yours is not a Sport. It's not a big deal, though; the only functional difference between the Sports and non-sports are the SST (Select Shift Transmission) shifter, shocks, and sway bars. The shifter is easy enough to swap out, as are the shocks, if you really want the Sport goodies.

Thanks, I appreciate the replies. I am not to worried about it. I was just sorta of curious on the differences. Thanks for clearing it up for me.

What year LS is this? Is it a V6 or V8? Can you post a picture.

I'm a bit surprised that everyone offers answers but do not ask these relevant questions. But hey, that's kids these days.

If someone is requesting help, they should provide relevant information in their post. Why should I have to waste my time and hunt for relevant info to help some other slob? Truth be told, I've simply not responded to several requests for help on this board because basic info (e.g., year, engine size, etc.) are not provided in the post. I'm more than willing to share my knowledge, but the poster has to help out a little too.

Actually ToddG, if you read the post completly you would have seen that all I asked for was some of the differances. I did not ask you to tell me what mine was...And by the way I am not some slob.

ah, slobs helping slobs, that's what's great about the internet

aha theres a lot of commotion on this forum, i mean, are your cars giving you that much trouble? i guess thats a good way to tell what cars are good and what are not, when you go to a popular forum for a specific car and there is a lot of feuding going on that must mean their cars are giving them hell ha
