some weird noise

when i start my car is sounds like the crankshaft is

ed its a harsh knocking noise any thoughts?

it only does it on start up 4 few sec's.

Possibly the chain tensioners? I don't know if it should sound that bad though.

Thats what i thought. i seen a few posts about that
but can it get that ruff. it runs fine its just when i start it.

Timimg chain tensioners. Every mark that I have heard on cold start up seems to do it for a few seconds. Seems to be pretty common. I guess you could try the oil filters with the anti drain back valve like a motorcraft. Not sure if it will really help much though.
