I got my 94 Mark and only the left front tweater worked. I purshased a used JBL factory amp. Installed it today (another PITA) and now all speakers on the left side of the car work. I have zero sound from passanger side.

I wonder if the Stock radios have preamps on them...?

If not, are you SURE this used amp works properly?

Stocks dont pre-amp - which is a problem since the inputs on the amp are not looking for much, then you throw in an after market amp with pre-amp and BOOM..... well, actually no BOOM - you'll hear nothing.

Sal, so far out all your posts, you're experiencing all of the same problems I experienced with my 93. Rather than troubleshoot the problem, I went aftermarket, and got rid of all the stock audio parts. The JBL system isn't half bad though. You are having shorts in the speaker outputs with the factory amp. The problem is with AMP connection behind the radio. Pull out the radio and disconnect the amp connection. It is just below the CD changer connection. Get some contact cleaner and clean the contacts on the back of the radio as well as the connectors. Do the same in the trunk with the factory amp, and you should hear a difference.

Thanks I will give that a shot. Going aftermarket seems to be lookin better and better.
