Interior Lights

I need your guys' help with a mod i have in mind.

I want to see if I can install neon lights under the dash, like under the steering wheel and under the glove box, plus maybe something that will glow for the back seats.

I remember a friend who had red ones which matched perfectly with the red lights of his Audi. So I would like to go with green lights to match the LS interior.

What kind of brand should I look for, is there a kit or do I have to do piece by piece? I also want to figure a way to install an on/off switch aside from running it to a constant power source. Anybody have any ideas?

I did it and it didnt look to great imo, the green just doesnt look right comin from under the dash in a LS. Im not sure what color your interior is but i had tan interior and it look bad enough that i took the neon out. Green just isnt a great color for neon in a car maybe if you ahve all black interior it may look better. I had 2 12'' bars under my dash the one side you can zip tie it up but the one needs to be screwed into the plastic

just my .02 cents, i put some advance auto parts interior light products and they are horrible. i'm gonna switch everything to super white light like something like varad lights

go with an led strip instead. You can mount them easily. They are smaller and brighter. Also this means you can mount them such that you dont see the bulb giving it a better overall effect. I have mine done in blue. Along with the leds in my trunk to showcase the stereo setup.

I have the ones under my dash wired in with the interior lights. They also dim as they turn off just like the factory lighting.

I put super white throughout my interior and it looks so much better. It gives it a more luxurious appeal at night.

Can I ask where you purchased the led strips? How did you wire them in?

I wanted to do the neon green but am kinda worried about it looking too much like a spaceship. I figured I would try it out, but I definitely want to know how to connect them to the factory wiring so I get the right effect.

If you are going down this rout I would suggest ultra white theater style LED's , and on a lower profile as in a, factory look. Interior effects with lights IMO is ing stupid.
I would add a single ultra white led under the dash and glove box...maybe, but if anything strips along the sides of the floor would be at best.
