Smooth blue intake tube installed pics

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

The only thing I had to do was swap IAT sensor housings because the 96 Mark VIII's have a unique housing which is different from 93-95. This intake makes the engine have a nice growl in the upper rpm's which was missing before and i'm sure it probably gained a couple ponies also. Here are the pics, next up for this Mark will be blue Ford Racing wires.

I already have the matching blue alternator pulley, I think once I get the wires it will be cool, i'm not going all out. Are those the blue Ford Racing wires? They look a little purplish, I may have to get some blue Livewires instead.

Gotta start somewhere.

Looks good. Nice work.

I like 02LSE96LSC91SE84TC's engine. Too bad the intake tube has to run over the valve cover though. Kinda hides the nice chrome wire cover. They should have put the throttle body in the front of the intake or left more room in the rear to run it another way. Oh well, that's how it was made.

Would be nice if they sold only one the one for the driver's side... Those damn coves are not cheap.. especially when they only serve for looks.

But they sure do look good.

Why is your filter so white? It looks like you didn't recharge it with enough oil or something, otherwise looks pretty clean but I still wouldn't trade you for my smooth blue intake tube.

Posted by: Dominus

Not every cone filter is oiled. Looked like an auto parts store brand performance air filter.

Posted by: devilchild
