Hello to all, my name is Fred. I am new to signing up, but have been lurking for years, benefiting very much from the questions and answers I have read here. Thank you all!. I have previously had a 72 Tbird, same as a Mk 4, 2 78 Mk 5's, just sold my 88 Mk 7 and am on my third year with a 95 Mk 8. I should be put in the nut house for continually fighting the same problems that Ford won't fix, one example being the door handles on my 95 Mk 8 that broke just like it did on my 72 Mach 1.

Anyway, I come from an aviation family, but ended up a car guy. Pontiac GTO's, Formula's and Trans Am's from the end of the muscle car era is where I started. I also managed to spend a year as a crewman on a Top Fuel dragster team. I fell in love with the Mk 8 when I rented one in 1995, bought one in 04 and it has turned into quite the experience. It now has an Arnott conventional suspension kit with KYB shocks in back, ASA ar1 BBS style wheels that really show the car off, thank you Tire Rack, and Powerslot cryo treated slotted brakesand Hawk pads. Now, if I can find the short circuit that won't let me have a working fuel guage, radio or message center, I will be happier. Oh, and the broken console lid and the previously mentioned broken door handles! Still I love the monster and have no plans to get rid of it, as she will be joined soon by a 2005 GTO and the last real GTO ever made, my still in possession 1972 455 4 speed Goat. Thank you one and all, talk to you soon!
