Bauman ReCal Pro Or Blue Oval Valve Body Kit

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: 98MK8

Hello. I've been doing a little more research and was going to order my chip today from Blue Oval Chips when the guy I spoke with advised me that Blue Oval's Valve body kits were far superior to the Bauman ReCal pro kit. Although i've done ALOT of research no one has spoken about the Blue Oval Chips valve body kit for the 97-98 Mark VIII's. All I have heard is good things about the Bauman Recal Pro kit and i have already purchased this. The man at blue oval claims there's only performance and no reliability benefits with the Bauman, but he claims you get more reliability and performance with his valve body kits. Any one have any experience with his valve body kits? And more opinions/suggestions of any sort with either of these 2 products would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here's the links:

Bauman's ReCal Pro Link (a little down on the page) http://www.becontrols.com/products/aodecat.htm

Thanks for the help.

Baumann has had a great kit on the market for a bunch of years now. Many happy guys.

I would consider doing a group buy on his kit for the spring if you guys are interested.

I also have an XCal2 for sale that has an economy tune, a performance (93 octane) tune and a nitrous tune loaded in it if interested. Also a Walbro 255h fuel pump

Bryan, what is your catch code on the 98 for the Xcal 2? Is it BTCO?
