Why The Hell Is My Mark8 Runnin Hot!?

*ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!*
I have a 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII. Body= 120k, Motor= 72k (had a junk yard motor put in 2700 miles ago) has been running just fine then all of a sudden about 5days ago while I was idling the temp. Just started climbing (all the way up) so I shut it off and let it sit for 10min. then it was back down to ½ again. But within 10 more min it was back up again!!
I replaced the thermostat, had the radiator flushed and checked (its Good), Put a new temp sensor in it, and also wired the fan to always be pulling while the car is on.
*WHAT COULD IT BE????*
Please email me or call me if you could because I am rarely able to get on.
THANKS, Kyle

Did you burp the cooling system?

Is the water pump in good shape?

email? What's that?

Water pump would be my guess. Seems like you have everything else covered. That is a 30 minute fix. Try that and see what happens.

Vaporlock is my guess

Air in the sytem like Frogman states. They have to open the little cap on the crossover tube to really get the air out any mech that has worked on Cobras or the Marks will know this.

my friend had the same problem.. he replaced his radiator and it worked

See... this is what annoys me. You get these people who are desperate, they create an account, post one question, we try to help them out, then most we never hear from them again... until next time.
