have a friend in town and truck wont start, they said it seems like its not getting gas so they replaced the fuel pump. going to check it out right now, any common problems that the ford truck v8 2003 has, please list them. Going to check the forum when i get there. any ideas or suggestions will help. will post more when i find out more.

fuel pump fuse, blocked up fuel filter... might have been checked already, but can't hurt to check the cheap fixes. if you can get your hands on a reader(does someplace like autozone lend them out?) pulling any codes might help get at the problem.

Here's a silly question... Did they check the inertia switch?

Was a relay in the fuse box under the hood. No autoparts store had one and the dealer was closed, so I switched the around so that the pcm and fuel pump would work, not sure what the other one was, but the truck took him home. It was kind of funny, my father in law worked on it all night and his friend even replaced the fuel pump and filter. I went over there and checked fuel pressure, hooked up my meter and saw there was no spark, opened the fuse box and owners manual, switched out some relays and voila, started right up. Should have saw their faces. Best part was when they told me the tank was full.
