45 taps? Sounds familiar??

New member here....I've recieved help from old posts regarding the Door Ajar problem...worked great! Happy to be a part of the group to learn and share what I know.

I have a 99 Lincoln Town Car....everytime I drive I hear 45 quick Taps coming from the glove box or at least it sounds that way. (oh yeah it taps even before I turn it over too....not as many times though)

It will start again about every 15 min's or so. Can't stand it...really cause I don't UNDERSTAND IT. I've heard it could be something with the ventilation system.

I have an Airbag light...I am aware of the under the seat solution I will check into it. Is this related? I appreciate your help for all your suggestions

Man that's bad when you have to answer your own thread question....

But I've noticed that the 45 or taps will DEFINITATELY begin as soon as I turn off my heating or AC unit....though it will begin at any time.

By this and through other responses I've heard over time it is definately the ventilation system....

I hope this helps anyone who experiences this problem.

**Do anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
