When do you change the hoses.... whats about the right mileage to change them.... and how many are there? 3? I am going to change the serpentine belt, spark plugs and i thought what the heck it might need new hoses... I got the income tax return and I figure i should take of a few things.... My wife is having a baby soon and I am not sure if I will have the funds to take care of these things..... HELP ME!

Hoses arn't really a mileage specific item. Inspect them, squeeze them, bend them.... look for any signs of age; dry rot, hardness, cracking. If they still look and feel flexable, with no cracks or anything then hold off on it; there isn't anything wrong with them.

+1 - it's more about age abd miles than either alone.
