New member here....I've recieved help from old posts regarding the Door Ajar problem...worked great! Happy to be a part of the group to learn and share what I know.
I have a 99 Lincoln Town Car....everytime I drive I hear 45 quick Taps coming from the glove box or at least it sounds that way. (oh yeah it taps even before I turn it over too....not as many times though)
It will start again about every 15 min's or so. Can't stand it...really cause I don't UNDERSTAND IT. I've heard it could be something with the ventilation system.
I have an Airbag light...I am aware of the under the seat solution I will check into it. Is this related? I appreciate your help for all your suggestions!

the EVAP purge solonoid is in the engine compartment - right infront of the glove box. That's probally what's making the noise.
When it's doing the taps, give it just a little gas and see if it just stops. If it stops when the gas is pressed (just a little) that's it. For my mom's durango there is a recall for that being so loud!
