(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

on my 95 mark viii the passenger seat will not move back/forward all the time.all other functions work properly all the time.i can move the seat forward but may have to wait a few minutes to move it back and vice-versa.sounds like the motor is lugging.the switch clicks as it is working properly.any advice on the problem or can it be repaired? thanks, joe

Dunno, but I have the same problem. I haven't looked into it since the car rarely sees a passenger anyway.

mine does it too

I haven't found a solution for that. And the option of just "buying another one from another Mark VIII" is becoming less of an option, given that those "other" ones will also be 14 years old.

I think there are 8 motors in our seat tracks, some parts even have tiny little plastic gears. I wish there was a way to freshed these seats up. I hope someone knows a way.

Could you have the motors rebuilt? What about the switches I know some cars use the same switches and it would just be a matter of replacing them with a similar switch. Has anybofy just taken the seats apart and cleaned and relubricated the slides?
