Car Running Great But Lost 3rd And Od, Fluid Good, Good Color, No Smell, Just Happened Like That Any Ideas. Shifts Great In First And Second, Band Seems To Be Working Good In 2nd, Only Blirp Was Step On Gas Car Would Want To Die Then Came Back Twice, Other Then That Car Running Fantastic, Any Suggestions Would Be Great

Sounds like your tranny died. Mine's gone the same way. Still sitting in the driveway waiting for my tax return to come in. Word on the street is if you go for a swap instead of rebuild, get a '98 or newer transmission.

Try replacing the MLPS/Neutral Safety Switch.

Most the 4r70w trannys go out like that, you lose 3rd and 4th (overdrive). Whatever you do don't take your car to Aaamco. The best stock Mark VIII tranny is the 98 and the best overall 4r70w to get would be a 99-02 Mustang GT tranny.

If you are looking to get a very good tranny for your car, Lonnie at Blue Oval Chips sells high performance rebuilt trannies. I plsn on putting one in my car once it goes out. I think the tranny is about $1200.
