Trunk Lid Tail Lights - How to light them up

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have a 2004 LS V8 Ultimate. How do you set up the inside tail light units – the ones in the trunk lid – to be on at night like the LSE model. Do I need a new unit or can the existing units be lit? Are the wires already available in the loom? Thanks.

Those are reflectors. You'd have a hard time trying to turn them into lights.

If the trunk lights are reflectors in my version of the car, and light up in an LSE, can I buy just the truck lid units separately? Is the wiring there and not being used?

I have LSE tails, they dont light up on the trunk lid. Maybe what you saw was custom.

The reflective portion is on the bottom inch or so along the lights (at least on the 03+). I think you could light up the trunk light, it looks pretty transparent to me. Good luck! well you have to stick a bulb in there somehow.
