Trouble with alarm system

theres a circle underneath the glove box on my 1994 Lincoln Town Car i was advised to put a paper clip there and press any button on the new remote to program it for my car. now my car does not start because my locks do not work and neither does the keypad on the drivers door. i've disconnected the battery and it still will not start. can someone explain the procedure for fixing the problem or removing the dash panel underneath the glove box. the third time i called the dealer the guy started yelling at me saying "how do i know your not stealing a car" and was totally rude. i dont have money to get it fixed so im kind of in a bind.
