Greetings and salutations to everyone. I am the proud owner of a '95 Mark VIII - was looking for some assistance with a confusing problem and found this site - you are awesome - some really intelligent people here and I feel confident I will get some answers....it involves temp gauge and overheating..grrrrr,need I say more. Read many posts and they were quite helpful, just need to get advice on my particular problem.

It started with bad water pump (November) so replaced. Started to overheat - Bled system of air - Problem fixed - perfect! Then replaced thermosat, thinking this would be a good thing to do since we have flushed system, & replaced water pump.

Running hot still (temp gauge is on the "O") was always between the "M" and "A" for the entire time I have owned this vehicle. The people who replaced thermostat bled the air again, still overheating. Should I keep trying to bleed the air out - not certain they have taken enough time to do it properly (according to your posts) and if so, what exactly are the steps I need to do. I am not very mechanical (female) yet not afraid to get under the hood. I do not want to take it to a dealer yet - just feel there is still air in the system.

Thanks in advance everyone!
