Hell of a day

First off, this morning my girlfriend calls me to tell me that her mother's house burned down today and her mom and sister nearly died, then tonight at 2 in the morning I hear a car alarm. Go and check it out any our new 06 Trailblazer is getting towed. I run outside and the cops and tow guy are like "it's sitting on the street and there are no plates." Now, there are dealer plates on the front and back, and the temp plate is just a paper taped on the inside of the back window (was bought in Iowa and that's how temps are done there I guess) My GF and I were pissed. She works in the morning and was kinda snappin on the cops for not checkin closer before they decided to tow. If she would have gone outside in the morning and her car was gone I would not have liked to deal with her, and I'm sure the police wouldn't have either.

Damn that does suck, temp tags are done the same way here. They are taped to the rear windshield.

That really sucks man, i hope everything works out ok. They should not have towed the vehicle in the first place.

they used to be like that here too now they give you a thin piece of cardboard that bolts up like a plate and melts in the rain

Same here in WI. The big dealers give you plates right at the time of purchase now.

Yeah the yellow paper plates is what I have always gotten when I bought a car. It just bugged the hell out of me that there were dealer plates on the car and the cop didn't even bother to look for a temp plate before he towed it.

Hang in there...
