Beach Party Mod Thread

This thread is set for those wanting to participate in the mod day on Wednesday July 18th.

Members are will need to bring all parts necessary for mods. (Mainly large parts that would need to be ordered).

Use this thread for discussion on mods you may want to do or whether it will be possible to be completed in a day and a half.

I will have 2 local service shop available for jobs larger than for the driveway.

I will need to have at least 1 month notice to make sure your work can be scheduled.

I will have a shop available for customized exhausts. Again I will a one month notice to schedule your work. You will need to purchase your own mufflers and X pipes and tips. Supplied will be service, bending, and piping.

Members are responsible for all fees and parts. There is one local auto parts store. Parts that need to be ordered usually take one day. There are some large change Auto Parts stores with in 30 miles. I'll shoot anyone who goes to autozone!

I do have most tools to do necessary to do repairs. But not everyone! So please discuss any mods or repairs.

Personally I'm thinking about mods like air ride conversions, 1 2 accumulator repairs, air silencer removals, etc... discussion would be good on what mods are possible in the time frame and space available.

I just talked to the guy who will be doing the exhaust work.

He is willing to cut cats, all of them if you want (says we have ways around it so don't worry payment in cash works best for this option).

Cost Estimate is $125 per side... give or take some - for material and custom bending. If you want any custom pipes made like X pipes, H pipes, or Y pipes it will cost more.

All you need is supply the mufflers and tips.

Please give at least 1 month notice if you want a custom exhaust built. This guys is blocking Wednesday and Thursday for LvC members to do exhaust system if there are enough request.

I know, PM for Questions, but I thought I would ask since other might. Will, or can, he do stainless?

I'm sure he can do stainless but there will be more cost. I'm not sure what he has in stock. This would be a reason for setting things up a month ahead of time.

But if everyone wanted Stainless then I'm sure he'd have a lot available and the price would be lower.

Just remember, if for those planning on attending the Mod portion of this meet. Please discuss in either the vehicle formum portion of LvC (Mark VII, Mark VIII, LS, STS, etc..) what you are planning on doing so you have all that you need to do the mod. Plan ahead so your work goes smoothly.

We do have a parts store in town "Bumper to Bumper" parts can be ordered and will come usually next day. Maxx can have parts shipped to my house. Maxx has my address so if there is something you need and want it in Boscobel, you can order it from Maxx.

Same with Mufflers If you just want to have them shipped here Put my address in the shipping address. PM me so I know what's arriving.

Remember Plan ahead.

Also with Tax returns on their way it's a good time to pick up those mods you want.
