ok well i got some loud ass noises coming from under the hood. I suspected it was the alternator, so i replaced it, unfortunately, it wasnt. Now im suspecting one of the other accessories powered by the belt. But, Im going to try removing the belt all together to see if it might be an internal engine part.

If you haven't done so already, get a stethoscope and see if you can hear where it's coming from..

Stethescope or a long screwdriver. I'm not too keen on giving the piticulars on using a screwdriver, because of the potential for some pretty gruesome hospital scenes.

I don't have a problem with it tho.

One thing to do...take the belt off, and spin each of the pullies. generaly, one or more of the idler pullies go, along with the tensioner pulley.

Im very releived at this point. Simple analysis proved the noise to be the water pump. It is now replaced and the noise is gone.
