I need a grille (broken/poor condition preferred)

So the toothless look my car currently has isn't working for me. I'd like to try my hand at fiberglassing and make one, since I don't really like the stock one and they're expensive anyway. What I'd like to find is a stock grille I can use in the process of making a mold (to keep the curvature/shape of the edge of the stock grille.) It's a long shot but if anyone has a broken, cracked, peeling chrome, or whatever grille that they'd let go for cheap, please let me know. Thanks

Do you mind if some of the teeth are broken?

Broken teeth are fine, all I need is the edge piece to be all there.

I just took a better look at my grill. The bottoms all there but the top is messed. In a couple weeks I should have one you can have.

I've already drawn up my idea for a laser cut stainless grill....

Well there are never any Mark VIIIs in the junkyards around here so I'm sure I'll still be looking. Let me know.
Thanks.

eBay has some grills but they are usually high also.

Too bad someone's not good a making molds. We have so many members that someone should have that skill...

It would be a walk in the park to make a cast for these. There are a couple places that can do custom cast iron work in NY. They could easily make them for us, but heavy as a boat anchor. We need an foundry worker!

Ya know, I think it'd almost be easier to make them out of aluminum.. My stepfather molds his own engine blocks, more as a blank..... but I've played with the sand molds when I was in high school, I made a piston for my 2 cycle go cart. It really wouldn't be that hard. Packing sand, a furnace, (whatever that crap is you add to fight oxygen) and the rest such as making the packing box and modifying the grille is just time consuming. You'd want two good grilles to start with, one for the upper (front) half of the grille and the other for the back half. It's a simple process, and almost worth someones time for what ford thinks these grilles are worth.

I've been thinking of how to make a grill for this car and I think I've figured it out. My design uses laser cut sheet metal bent to fit the contour of the front end with tabs welded to hold it in place. This would allow anything you wanted to be cut into your grill. I'm thinking polished stainles with a lincoln logo and vertical slots cut in it.

My idea is fiberglass frame with a vertical piece & logo (mine will be one of the cobrastars) in the middle, mesh inserts on either side.

Anyway if anyone runs across a grille I could use PM me or post here
