Has GM finally figured it out?

Whether it makes it to the car lots or not.. 2010 Chevy will be putting out a RWD Impala, and a Pontiac a RWD Grand Prix GTX.

400+ hp... Only negative thing are the 4 doors...

Well they are getting closer...

Now if they make it to the Car Lots...

What are your opinions and have any of you learn more about these cars?

Sometimes they luck out. The shift to RWD in the Cadillacs was a good move and it's about time the FWD vs. RWD myth was exploded. Especially with TC and systems like the Stabil-trak, FWD especially in large cars is not needed nor desirable. My SRX is 2WD and with 150 lbs of sand in the back goes through snow with no problems. For the longest time Ford was the only one to hold on with the Crown Vic and the Marquis. We used Crown Vics in the Border Patrol for years and we're still buying a few of them although the Tahoe's have pretty much taken over with few Excursions thrown in for good measure. The V series Caddys are another step in the right directions to battle the ricers and bratwurst machines.

American and proud of it.

Well they are also coming out with the 2-door Camaro - RWD 400+ HP.

That's hot but I think that's just a photochop, no plans to build as of now. From what I hear Pontiac was going to do a GTO based on the 09 Camaro. All speculation mind you.

I hate how GM is just throwing around the GTO name... The GTO was never even an F-Body...

i found mine..........................

...I'm hoping Ford can pull it together pretty soon...

According to the Detroit Show, they still going to screw up the Focus.
The Interceptor is a ways away.

On the plus side, the Boss Mustang is on it's way, and the Hurricane 5.0 is going to kick ass.

the dealership where i work just hit 50 yrs and some bigwig corp. guys came down and gave some speech, and said that ford will come through this the new diesel will have no problems (i doubt it) and that there are a decent # of totally new cars coming in the next few years, bla bla bla

Mullally wants very much to speed up product releases. It generates interest at dealerships. Ford is doing good things with the Mustang and the concepts.
