1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC blk on blk - $2500 FIRM

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: 04SSHD

97 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC. It has been well taken care of, it has power windows, power seats, Air Conditioning, Power Steering, 4 wheel Power Disk brakes, 4.6L Lincoln Intech all aluminum V8 32 valve DOHC, factory rated at 290hp this is the same motor as the same era Ford Mustang Cobra, New HID lights, Neon rear tail lamp, Great condition black leather interior, with original carpet, no tears in the headliner, no cracks in the dash board, Original AM/FM 10 disc changer radio still works great!, still has the original Lincoln chrome LSC wheels with the chrome shining just as good as when they were new, Paint is in fair condition and has spots where the clear coat is flaking. It has a matching set of Yokohama tires. There is no visable rust on this Southern Californina car.

The mileage is correct at 106K and I have some service records on this car. This car has power autoglide seats, power windows, limo tinted glass, automatic tilt wheel, 2 driver seat memory, Automatic headlights, 4 wheel power disk brakes, power steering, air conditioning. This car rides like new, I have driven this car a few thousand miles and it is one of the most comfortable vehicles I have ever driven and it averages 24 MPG!!!!! Call me at 818-470-4668 or 909-772-5117 with questions or to arrange to see it.

There is one catch on why it is so cheap, the transmission just lost 3rd and 4th gear on Dec 7 2006 I just don't have the time and energy to put another transmission in it. I am selling this car for less than half of what it is worth because of this. I have talked to rebuilders that can rebuild the trans for $800. I will give you their information if you are interested in this car. I am going out of the country for a week between Dec 9-16 and I will be unavailible by phone, please leave an email and I will return it as soon as I get back home.

$2500 FIRM

head unit not included, factory radio will be installed.

btw, this car has two brand new HID lights bulbs, brand new brakes (rotors and pads), brand new heater-A/C Blend door, and the air suspension was just converted to coils. Paint was done about 4 months ago, tint was done a few months back also. There is alot of money in this car in recent repairs and upgrades.

old Ad, I just cut and paste, forgot to edit that part.

Car was sanded, prepped, and repainted the factory color

not a professional paint job, but better than having missing clear coat.

Good excuse for a road trip..

Somewhere we could get that tranny fixed. You've got Torque in AZ and Mike in CO... They are always looking for an excuse to do something to a Mark VIII.

You could stop and see so many LvC members on the ride back.

A couple of weeks ago the transmission would have still been working, and you would have been low-balling him.

Posted by: Frogman

I wasnt trying to lowball him. That's how much the car is/was worth to me.

Posted by: Stack

Still an SOB!!!

I would be ALL OVER it if I was in the states...

You said you were going to wait LOL!

Posted by: 04SSHD

Still avail, no one has come up with the $$$ yet!

Posted by: 04SSHD

Transmission is being fixed right now. New price is $3500, I need this car gone! $3500 includes a 1 year 12,000 mile warranty on the new tranny.

DAS gives an online quote of about $500 to ship it. https://www.dasautoshippers.com That's $4,000 for a car with fresh paint, a new transmission, and a lot of other expensive new parts on it. I can't get a decent Gen II around here for under $5,000, let alone all of the new stuff on this one. I just wish my VII would sell, and then I might be able to get away with snagging a deal like this.

Posted by: Jibit

I've been pm'ing this guy about the car but it seems like he's not acknowledging me based on the thread I thought he understood that I wanted it and was interested but was going to pay to have the transmission fixed. Now he gets it fixed, which is fine, raises the car by $1K instead of $800, which is still fine, but he makes it seem like there's no one out there biting on it. I can understand that you want the money but understand that its a lot of money to send to you without seeing the car in person. Been burned before by people from here that I don't know and this is a little larger of an investment that I'd be more cautious with............sorry, I'm ranting

Agreed.

Amen!

Praise the Car gods!

Although, to his defense, he was willing to take a deposit and the rest when the buyer picked up the car.

didn't tell me that? I was going to send him money to fix the tranny but not before Torque got the chance to look it over later this month. Don't want to send him money for the tranny to find out it has more problems and then I don't want it, then I'm out the money for fixing his car? I don't think so!

Posted by: Frogman

Understood.

I've got a silly question though. Was the paint job a professional job or a garage "do it yourself thing? "

I don't recall seeing any body shops that use newspaper for masking, and that have a vending machine in the painting booth..

I we can call the enclosure storing your car after being painted a painting booth.

Posted by: 04SSHD

Jibit PM sent.

Frogman, the paint job is not a professional job at all and I have told everyone who seemed interested in the car that. I painted the car myself in my garage, it is not perfect...has orange peel and a few runs. It does need a good color sanding.

Posted by: Frogman

cool cool. no worries. props for being able to (at least somewhat) paint a car. I know I couldnt do it.

Posted by: 04SSHD

I am picking it up from the tranny shop today, it runs and drives like new again!

Posted by: 04SSHD

just incase Jibit does not come through here are a few more pics. (well just incase and because I am a pic whore )
