Got myself a Caddy!

Just a few pics of my new/old ride!!! 68 Coupe DeVille, first year for the 472 91,000 original miles... All it needs to be roadworthy is a transmission and some brake work. I should be pickin it up this weekend and starting the body work right away, which it doesnt need much... More pics soon to follow!!!

What will you do about the rust in the engine compartment? What does it look like underneath in terms of rust / corrosion?

Thanks guys!

Im doing the whole car over, im making a rat rod out of it... Im choppin and baggin it.. The underneath is as solid as the day it rolled out of the factory, REALLY solid car. There is an old sticker in the 1/4 window thats from a yacht club in florida, so im thinking thats why its so clean underneath. Im picking the car up this weekend , so ill get better pics of the whole car. My gf took these close-ups to get ideas for striping, which she does on the side

Good luck with it :-)) You could put a pool in that trunk Is threre still turn indicaters on top of the fenders or just chrome strips? I had at one time a 1967 Eldorado 1'st year for a seperate Eldorado body and 1st year for front wheel drive What a beast .
