What gear for dyno?

Like the title says.. What gear do we put our car in if we're going to do a dyno on it? For some reason 4th gear keeps poppin into my head, but i also remember reading that most dynos are done in 2nd or 3rd gear.

So which one is it?? 2nd?? 3rd?? or 4th???

OH YEAH!! at what RPM do you usually stop the dyno at? or what do they use as a trigger to end the dyno w/ out red-lining?

yes - the run is usually from 2500 in 4th.
