Check antilock brakes...

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I get this message on my overhead console in my '85 Mark VII. The light is on constantly. My brakes work fine; what's it mean?
I also have a continuous light up there that says "check suspension."

The amber brake light is a passive alert letting you know that you may have low fluid or low boost or excessive pump usage. The red brake light is related to failures and the car shouldn't be driven. In either case, the brake system needs servicing.

The SYSTEM ON OFF SWITCH (suspension cut out switch) is in the OFF position. Switch it to ON. (click the picture to enlarge it)

You can pull codes for the air suspension via a tech article at LincolnsOnline.com.

also when it sais check anti lock breaks the orange light up high. ur anti lock brakes arent working. because something is wrong the car turns em off.

when that happens to me it means my break fluid is low. but thats because my master cylinder is leaking somewhere. still havent figured out where.
