Anyone local with a lift?

Hi Guys,

In Green Bay here. I am looking to do some major work to the underside of my car and don't feel like doing it on my back. Anyone know of any local shops that have lifts to rent or just use? I looked around here and came up with nothing.

What I am looking to do is essentially restore the underside to stop and prevent any rusting.

I've got bad news.... Not many Wisconsin members and Not many in your area. At least not active members.

What are you planning on doing?

Well I want to remove any and all rust then prime and paint. I could probably do it on the ground, I am not going to get too fancy after all. Its not that the car is really bad, I just want to get to it before it could get bad. I also want to detail and paint around the k-member. Basically its just regular restoration and cleaning.

I've got a friend who is trying to rent a garage in town here (not commercial) that has a lift in it. He told me that if this goes through I can have access to the lift. That would be so nice....

I had so much fun dropping a tranny while on my back. The tranny cleared by less than an inch.

I hear ya. Now try putting an engine and trans in using a skid steer! Now that's fun!

Here is my engine and trans (not me though, my friends):

Well whatever works... When you don't have the professional place to do the projects you have to make do with what you have.

I wish I could convince my wife I need a new garage.. with the price of lifts these days I'd have one put in.... I wonder if I could get one of those Snap-On Tool kits worked into the financing of the garage LOL...
