Transmission shifts hard.

My tranny shifts really hard, I had a rental same year as mine and it shifted the same, anyone know if its just me or do they all do it,and why do the do that. I had a brand new engine and tranny put in my car cause i hyrdolocked it and it does the same thing.

its how the car is, change driving styles so the car knows u and sortof get used to it....2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th r rough for me....i took it to dealership and they did "performance trans elec diag on WDS Monitor (no codes). reprogram PCM to latest calibration. also disconnect battery cable to clear KAM"

I'm at 53K miles on mine now and it started to shift hard. I took it in the get the transmission flushed and it is doing much better. Just take it up to Valvoline or something and have them flush the trans. (Should do it ever 30K)

well i had a rental for a while and it did the same. I also just had a new engine put in and i guess the gearbox is attached to it and its still rough

What year LS is this? Engine?

My 2003 LS 6 was making a metallic noise and rough downshift. I just took the car in for a 30k service, and was told that there was a programming update that was necessary. You might have a dealer check it out for you.
