B]
[if someone has a damaged hid housing that i could use for test mounting that would be wonderful.again i will pay shipping
anyone can feel free to donate shipping free of course
i am tired of this headlight dilemma, and its time the public starts adapting instead of waiting for ford, they have no real reason to care about cars this old, honestly,as much as it sucks, its true.

so pm me ,and lets see what happens.

so, with the shortage of hid bulbs, are we going to see hid cars converted to standard bulbs now?

Ok... yes our HID bulbs cost WAY too much but at least we can get them again. I though tour were AC and the rest of the market was DC, I was wrong. Ours are in fact DC which is why the cost is so nasty. This is also why if you buy any other HID capsule you have to swap ballast changing the bulb/capsule will not help since you need to swap the ballast to convert.

But your idea is not really that new, see here:

Unfortunately this may not work on a Gen I, but there are relatively few Gen ones with HID.

And dont read too much into way they say on the auction, they are trying to sell kits and way inflated quoted prices for new HID, etc. But if your HIDS are out this is a good chance to spend more now, get two new HIDS (sell the one that still works ) and have much better availability to cheaper HIDs.

either one, does the gen 1 gen 2 hid bulbs mount differently?

i just need something to be able to test fit a conversion adapter for different hid bulbs from the 9500's

the housing can be smashed as long as the area where the bulb mounts is intact.

I'm about to convert my second car over to D2S bulbs. You can have my old bulbs when I have completed this. I'm doing it either today, or tomorrow.
