1982 Fleetwoods have any problems?

Ok, so I have a chance to buy a Fleetwood for $500. It's in excellent shape inside and out. It's been sitting covered for about 10 years. The engine seems to have a problem though. It doesn't want to idle, it seems to have a power loss sometimes, this is it being started since july (per the plates expiring), it looks like it hasn't had a tune-up in forever. I need to know if there's been prolbems with this year and model, like the valves burning out or rings being shot after x amount of miles. Does anyone know? The car is in great shape, and for $500 it seems like a steal. It's been sitting most of it's life, low in-town miles, high highway miles. What does everyone suggest? Thanks!
