weather/temperature effect on air ride leaks

when I recently bought my 94 mark 8 the temperature was in the 70s-now it drops to the 20s last few days-my front would drop overnite when warm-now its been up 3 days without dropping-cold air slows leaks?anybody know answer?

Switch off the air suspension.
Spray the bags with soapy water.
Jack up the car and look for leaks.

Well we know you have a leak and the weather can defiantly affect the bags. But I usually hear the opposite, that is that the colder is gets the faster the bags deflate. This is because general driving, engine and brake heat warms up the strut and air inside and hot air expands.

When you park you car, the air in the bags cools a bit and lowers the car quicker and usually in cold condition to a point were a crack in the bag gets exposed causing a slam.

IN warmer conditions that crack in the bag may not get exposed since the cooling condition is less radical.

But it also matters where the crack is. Maybe the crack the air bladder is higher on the bag wall than normal. If this is true then in cool condition the bag deflates but deflates fast enough to "seal" the crack before too much air escapes where as in warmer conditions the crack is exposed longer and more air gets out - enough to slam.

Cold temps will help you find out if you bags leak.

My 95 was fine until the first cold day and slam down she went her ass. Not always but she would do it.

Then I replace my rear bags. No problems anymore.

It was nice having an extra set of rear bags laying around from my 93's conversion.
