Side View Mirror Troubles

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

My passenger side-side view mirror wont go down when I shift into reverse. My plan is to take it off, and then go on the inside and make sure the wires are connected correctly. Is there any big precautions I should take into consideration? How do I get the mirror apart when I have it off of the car? Thanks.

Interesting, I didn't even know it was supposed to do that.

does your driver side? did you accidentally turn it off through the message center?

The drivers side is the only side that actually goes down, so I know that I didn't turn it off. The passenger side is really the only side i need.

Can you use the switch on the poor panel to move it?

Not downward, but left, right and upward.
