Blingin' my own grille

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: truckerlincoln

After numerous attempts at finding someone to mesh my grille, I have decided to take the task on myself. All the vertical slots, except for the center slot with the emblem, will be eliminated and replaced with chrome mesh. Any advice before I start?

If you can, take pictures of the process. I'd be interested in seeing that.

I will.

If you don't have any spokes the mesh will lay flat between mounting point to mounting point .. might look good, but it might stick out and be the new flatest part of the car. Next to the windshield.

find someone with a busted grille before you cut yours apart to do that to.

The original grille that came with my car is all busted to heck. I bought a decent grille from my parts guy for next to nothing to use. I've checked on other mesh grilles for other cars and have a pretty good idea how it'll be done. Just gonna take some time and patience.

Make sure to take some pics of the finished grill.
