The amber "traction Control" warning light comes on in my 2000 Deville. I've been to the dealer twice, and they tell me the warning light is in the same circuit as tail/brake/rear lights, and there is something wrong there. Their solution was to start replacing expensive lights on on the rear of the car on a trial-and-error basis until they got the warning light to go off. I said "forget it".
I notce that the warning light resets when I turn the car off, and does not come back on until I activate either turn signal. Anyone know about this?

Sounds like a turnlamp socket or lamp problem to me; I would disconnect vs replace until isolating to the culpret.
Suggest checking all light sockets associated with turnlamps - not uncommon for a "shorted" socket; if problem still there, next remove lamps from each socket - one at a time and check between removals.
Good luck!!
