I have been debating between a town car, 99-02 or a deville, 98-99 or 00+
I like that the lincoln is rear drive and full frame.
I like the looks of the 00+ deville dts best and ive riden in a 97 deville many times.
I also like the town cars reliablity ratings.
So i only have a 97 deville to compare to...how roomy and quiet is the 98+ ltc compared to a 97 deville?
Also, how does the ride compare?
I think for the rwd and full frame ill go tc.
Advice would be great. thanks.

If you want a fast car, go with the deville but it will need alot of attention.
If you want a reliably car, go with the Town car but it wouldn't be as fast as the deville.
so its fun to drive VS a reliably car that won't be in the shop as often.

To quote chili palmer in be cool....If you're important, people will wait. hahaaha
But really, i know the deville is faster but speed is not my main concern.
how do they match up in how roomy they are, quietness and ride quality?
especially the 97-99 deville vs the 98+ ltc.
as i only have that as a refrence.

Dude, go with a Town Car if you want something less troublesome.
Like Mark0101 mentioned. These cars are very reliable
They're safe cars, Lots of room for modifiications so you can even make it faster than a caddy some day, much more roomy and comfortable. Remember, TC's don't handle like a sports car but it feels like riding a cloud when going 80 on the Highway and they're whisper quiet at that. Much more leg and hip room.
These SOHC engines do take a beating, you car easilly put over 250K on it if well maintained and still have em run strong.
Advice, Go TC!!!! But go give both cars a test drive, and go with what you really want.
I just noticed that you are in Minnesota. The Caddy has the advantage of FWD which is better for the snow. TC's RWD are terrible in the snow and I'm telling you that from personal expierience. That is why I drive a 2001 Continental. Since it's FWD & V8, It's more convienient in snowy conditions.

both cars have thier good and bad points.
ive got a 99 towncar. half of me loves it and the other half of me wishes i would have bought a 00 deville.
the towncars interior looks better, i think. the devilles looks kind of thrown together. and that steering wheel is UGLY.
what i reallllly like about the devile:
the digital dash. i was so pissed off when lincoln diverted from the digital dash for the 98+ cars.
if youre getting a dts, it wont have the digital dash so i guess that doesnt matter to you.
the exterior styling on the deville is amazing. one of the best looking cars ive ever seen.
people say the power, i didnt notice a big power difference between the 2. my lincoln felt faster than the deville.
maybe the dts is a little quicker, not sure.
alot of reliability issues with cadillac. the northstar has its famous oil consumption problem.
i HATE the woodgrain cadillac used in these cars, its so generic and boring looking.
drive them both and see which you like better.
02 cartier, black on black, with sunroof and woodgrain steering wheel wins for me though.
