87 Continental wont start

Ok I have no idea what could be the problem, it has to be something with the fuel injectors... but what? It starts when I spray starter fluid into the intake but dies once it burns it all up. The fuel pump works and the fuel sprays out of the fuel filter when I disconnect the line coming out of it and try starting the car. I have no Idea what else there is to do, and I dont have the money to buy new injectors, a friend of mine says it might be the injector fuse but i have no idea where that is. can anyone help? it would be much appreciated

They are both Ford products. Maybe there's a common malfunction.
