scratch dash board??

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Has anyone been able to "buff out" scratches on the dash board? its 8 inches long, right above the center vents.

I guess that is what you get, when you try to haul a piece of lumber in your car!!

Thanks

I have found that most blemishes on that sort of stuff is there to stay. If some regular interior treatment wont help then i'd say get used to it. The silver trim scratches very easily. Last weekend i installed my radar and while i had the console apart i sprayed the silver pieces with a few layers of clearcoat paint. Looks good and gives it alittle more durability against scratches.

is it a deep scratch? is it on the plastic on the vents or the plastic right above the vents? Would you be able to "fill in" the scratch with something and maybe sand it down lightly to make it smooth...?

i really dont know what to do.. i've seen the process above done on leather mainly because there is liquid leather.. not too sure about what part ur talkin about though..
