In 2001 I was a fourth year Optometry School Student longing to finally come to the end of my eight years of required education and hopeful future. On my way to the clinic one afternoon I was stopped at a signal light when a black LS pulled up along side me. I was in awe of its looks but not at all familiar with what it was or even the manufacture. Closer inspection revealed that it was a Lincoln. Being of FOMOCO persuasion (Ford F-150 4x4, 2001 Ford Taurus SEL, 69 Mustang Mach 1) it left an indelible impression that never ceased to fade. After five years, two kids, a house-building project, and numerous other life related issues, I am now the proud owner of a black 2006 LS Sport.
A week or so ago I posted here under the subject of “2006 LS Sport Purchase Consideration” for which some of you kindly responded. I won’t go in to the details of that post other then to say that the car I was looking at was a 2006 with 9xxx miles on it. After much haggling with the dealer, I drove that particular car off the lot for $24k. With the exception of the Nav and back up warning system, it is well equipped and exactly how I would have ordered it had I bought it brand new. I love it!
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the helpful comments regarding my earlier post. Also want to say that I have been lurking here for a good while now and am grateful for this forum and its moderators.
